Highgate Veterinary Clinic raise over £2,600 for Guide Dogs

Guide Dogs Coniston Adventure Team Challenge 2011

On a wet but warm 10th September a team from Highgate Veterinary Clinic in Kendal completed the Guide Dogs Coniston Adventure Team Challenge 2011 to raise over £2,600 for Guide Dogs.

After mountain biking in 17km in Grizedale Forest, paddling kayaks 3km through the mounting waves on Coniston Water and finally an afternoon 10km ascent of Coniston Old Man, they came in 12th place out of an entry of 45 teams from around the country, taking just over 5 hours to complete all 3 stages.

Overall over £120,000 was raised that day for the work of this wonderful charity. A big thank you to all of you who supported in different ways, buying Highgate Poop scoop bags, cakes, sponsored walks etc. All funds are still gratefully received - watch out for next year's attempt!
