I passed my veterinary nursing
exams in Summer 2004 and am listed with the Royal College of Veterinary
Surgeons as a Veterinary Nurse (VN).
Ive been here 6 years now and continue to really
enjoy working as a VN and spend most if not all of my time working
in the hospital looking after day and longer-term hospitalised patients.
My work involves monitoring anaesthetics during surgical procedures,
being responsible for patient care pre and post operatively, providing
excellent patient care, assisting in medical investigations, supporting
our vets in their busy roles and of course regular contact and support
for owners.
Were all part of a team and I do also get involved
with my colleagues in providing Puppy Encounters Evenings and other
nurse-oriented clinics. Watch our website and notice board for these
events.
My aspirations are to continually improve patient
and client care at Highgate Vets.
