joined Highgate Vets in 2000, just as foot-and-mouth started, so for the first 12 months all I did was work with the demanding challenges this disease presented us with.

I now try to keep everyone happy and things running smoothly (most of the time!). My role is very central, from welcoming our clients to our surgery, personally in our new reception and over the telephone, to dealing with emergency situations.

My first day here will always stay in my mind as I was able to watch a caesarian on a dog – a wonderful first day.

When I am not at work, I enjoy gardening and walking (on the flat, not up big hills like my colleagues!).
